The 2007 AGM was held at Oakwood Park Kennels in Wokingham on Sunday 25th March 2007. Stella Smyth was kind enough to allow Committee members, society members as well as all their dogs (and cars) to descend upon her training hall on this sunny Sunday. Much refreshments and nibbles were provided to which we were all grateful! Thank you to Stella and all who helped.

The lengthy meeting was opened with apologies of absence and approval of the minutes from the last AGM. There was only one matter arising from the last meeting (concerning amendments to the breed standard - the current version will be published on this site ASAP).

Edith gave a very wise President's Report for the year 06/07 and Marian a very moving Chairman's report. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say how lucky we are as a society to have such dedicated and knowledgeable people willing to give up their time for the breed we all love. Then came the Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurers reports. I think the take home message from all of the reports, (especially evident to someone like myself who has been with the society a relatively short period of time) is that the ACD Society is entering a new and exciting period of its development. It is one that will require a lot of work as we encounter new challenges, but that we as a committee are brimming with talented and dedicated people willing and able to take on these challenges. As our first Champ Show looms ever nearer on the horizon, the committee are working overtime to make it a memorable occasion. All I can do is implore our society membership to turn up in their hordes to show their support and make it a day to remember.

It was unanimously agreed that Edith Miller retains the position of President in an honorary, non active role and be made an honorary member.

It was unanimously agreed that Merrick Stephens be made Vice President of the Society.

It was unanimously agreed that Curdeleon Blue the Boy Wunda take pride of place on the front of our Year Book and also that the BOB Crufts winner should appear on the cover of the Newsletter regardless of whether the owner is a society member or not.

After a period of discussion items, the Annual Trophy Presentations for 2006 were made.
